Iowa Bird of Mouth (a new project to check out!)

This is a new crowd-sourced poetry project, supported by the Iowa Arts Council and the NEA, a crowd-sourced poem honoring twelve Iowa birds. Submissions are from all over the world including a Pulitzer Prize winning poet, a National Book Award Nominee, and many Guggenheim fellows, as well as Iowa poets. Submission can be written in any style; from rhyming, metered verse to free-flowing prose, to an actual memory or even a one-word thought. Up to 300 words per day.
